Well that wraps up another season, but also the end of an era. For those of you who didn't get the chance to see the show, Ashleigh has made the decision to leave the show and move onto other projects. I would like to thank her so much for her incredible support over the last 2 years in taking Sightsee TV from the Internet, to community TV and on to broadcast in New Zealand and the UK. What's more, at the time of writing this, there is still no certainty that community TV has a solid future. As we said in the episode, we will be staying with Channel 31 until the end, but if you haven't already, please sign the petition to keep the stations on the air at http://committocommunitytv.org.au
So what about the immediate future? Well, in a couple of weeks I begin filming our new series. We're keeping the stuff you know and love, but changing the format to allow us to showcase destinations in more detail. This should also allow us to create more episodes for our next series in early 2016.
Finally, all that's left to do is thank the rest of the crew who have helped put it all together. This series, we've gained another presenter, two new camera operators and a production assistant, and they have given it their all. And most importantly our loyal viewers - there's plenty of choice when it comes to TV shows, and yet each week you tune in to watch a show hosted by two teenagers on an obscure channel who visit waterfalls and talk about history - you are the reason we do this show...
So, that's a wrap for now, but keep an eye out because we promise we'll be back sometime, somewhere in 2016.
