In the first part of our guide to driving the Great Ocean Road, we took you from the start of the road in Torquay through to the popular beach retreat of Lorne.
In part 2, we continue that journey...
If you're after a quiet town to visit along the road, then Wye River is an ideal choice. With minimal facilities (a general store, a hotel and plenty of accommodation) this is where the sea combines with rivers and mountains for a blend of unique scenery.
Places to Visit - Sturt Point, Separation Creek
Another quieter town, Apollo Bay's spectacular mountains and impressive wharf give it a friendly village atmosphere - and the water's so clear you'll feel like you're in Queensland!
Places to Visit - Wharf, Barham Paradise Scenic Drive
Port Campbell is a hidden secret along the road. It's the closest town to the big attractions like the 12 Apostles and the beach comes right into the centre of the town!
Places to Visit - Port Campbell National Park, Port Campbell Discovery Walk
Where to Stay - Portside Motel
So that's our guide to the Great Ocean Road and the good news - we've got a whole show dedicated to this impressive stretch of coast coming up in our 2017 series!
